Category 3 blackwater is a health hazard, not a cleaning job. Our Sewage Cleanup crews arrive in full PPE and follow IICRC S500 protocol from the first step, not just the parts that are convenient.

Containment goes up before extraction starts, because the goal isn't just removing the water, it's making sure contamination doesn't spread into rooms that were never affected.
None of this changes for a small job either — the same standard applies whether it's a single-room sewage cleanup call or a larger one.
These four things matter together, not in isolation — certification, speed, honest pricing, and the right equipment are what actually change the outcome of a sewage cleanup call.
S500 governs PPE, containment, and disposal on every Category 3 call we take.
The affected area gets isolated before removal starts to prevent cross-contamination.
Disposal records are provided as part of your job file.
Sewage calls get priority dispatch given the actual health risk involved.
We don't treat sewage cleanup as a single generic task — each piece of the process below gets its own specific approach.
Classification determines PPE level and which materials must be removed, not left to guesswork.
Extraction happens under full PPE with controlled disposal of the contaminated water.
This is a safety call based on contamination science, not a cost-cutting shortcut.
Disinfection follows removal of unsalvageable materials, covering the entire affected zone.
We treat the contamination causing the smell rather than deploying an air freshener.
The space gets verified against a safe standard before we call the job complete.
This is the same sequence every sewage cleanup job follows, regardless of size.
Dispatch gathers just enough detail to load the right equipment before the truck leaves.
Crews staged locally get to your address quickly, equipment already loaded for Sewage Cleanup work.
The assessment sets the whole plan, so we don't rush it even when the visible damage looks minor.
A job isn't closed on a visual check — it's closed on a verified reading.
We don't cherry-pick which sewage cleanup jobs get reviewed — this is a representative cross-section.
"Basement bathroom backup got full PPE handling and a clear explanation of why certain materials had to go."
Genevieve K., Mertens"Main line backup hit our laundry room and they explained exactly why the flooring couldn't be saved."
Silas D., Mertens"The smell was genuinely gone after treatment, not just masked temporarily."
Ines M., Mertens"Full containment meant we could reopen the rest of the dining room the same evening."
Bartholomew F., MertensIf your question about sewage cleanup isn't covered here, call +1-844-578-1604 and we'll walk you through it directly.
Aqua Guard Water Damage dispatches sewage cleanup specialists throughout Mertens and the surrounding zip codes, including 76666.
Coverage extends past the immediate area, so an outlying Mertens address isn't treated as a lower priority for sewage cleanup.
Service boundaries are based on realistic response time, not an arbitrary line on a map.
